Developers: SanctionListCheck API & MCP

The REST API and the MCP server screen names against 8 official sanctions lists, refreshed daily. A free API key for both services is sent by email from the form on this page.

REST API

One HTTP POST request screens 1 to 100 names, returning JSON. Each screening creates a record with a unique ID, which the same key can fetch later. This record holds the snapshot version, data-as-of dates for each source list, and the matching engine version.

curl -X POST https://sanctionlistcheck.com/v1/screen \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $SLC_API_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"names":[{"name":"Acme Trading"}]}'

MCP Server

AI assistants connect to the MCP server and call its tools using the same API key and credits. The MCP setup page shows the setup for each client.

Credit Packs

More credits are available as one-time credit packs with no subscription. Credits do not expire while your key is active. A checkout link for your key comes from the /v1/packs endpoint or from the API answer when credits run out.

The results are a screening aid, not a clearance and not a compliance verdict. A hit is a candidate for human review; no hits does not mean a name is cleared, and the customer stays responsible for their own compliance decisions.
